Is the ProtoSound 1 slave motor driver board compatible with a PS2 3 or 5v board ? j

no not that I'm aware of!ps 2 3 and 5 volt are newer technology! but what is wrong with your board they can be repaired by an asc mth tech!
alt of times it is just a blown FET device
No, the PS/1 slave is a totally different design.
Thanks guys ! Saved me the time of unpacking and pulling the shell off a Centipede. And putting it all back together.

Alan my PS1 slave is operating perfect I am going to upgrade to PS2 Or TMCC if I could use the PS1 slave with PS2 I would upgrade to PS2 if I have to buy a new slave I will go with TMCC Thank you, j
The PS/1 slave board isn't compatible with either of those, so you're going to be gutting the electronics and redoing it with either environment.

Agreed ! That's why if I have to buy a new slave I will go with TMCC because I have all the TMCC boards except the slave. Which raises another question. Can a second DCDR be daisy chained with the first one. Or how does a DCDR differ from the slave board.
I do have two spare PS2 boards but prefer to convert to TMCC However had you stated that the PS1 slave was compatible I was going with PS2. j
John, I've never actually tried to chain the DCDR, but I don't know of any reason that wouldn't work. However, you may have to buffer the two PWM direction outputs as they feed opto isolators on the DCDR, and adding two loads is likely to overload the R2LC outputs. Other than that, it should work fine as it only has the two inputs.
