Protosounds cuts out after ~ a minute or so | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Won a Southern USRA 0-6-0 with PS2 from an auction site recently. It runs fine, but after approx. 1 minute of run time, the chuffing sounds drop out, and a clanging sound is heard. When I stop the train, and it sits in neutral, it appears the normal sounds heard in neutral do not drop out. This occurs in forward and reverse, and changing the rotary speed setting has the effect of “resetting” the chuff, until it drops out again, and the clanging starts again. Fishing for ideas here. Using a Z-1000 trannie.

Put larger videos up on Youtube, you have no practical limits there.

Turn off Clikity-Clack and it'll work fine.

Scroll down to CLIKITY CLACK and toggle it off.

If that’s done using DCS, I don’t have it. But are you saying this is normal in conventional or DCS?

It may have to be turned off in DCS, what I'm hearing is Clikety-Clack kicking in, it happens after 30 seconds of steady running.
