HOwdy. I have a unique in my experience problem with an MTH Shay with Protosounds. The loco works well, reverses, lights work, sounds work which is the problem. When running the loco, the whistle will blow for one or two seconds, then stop, all on it's own. This happens twice on a 4x8 layout; I cleaned the rollers and wheels, and the track, no improvement. The loco cannot be reset using reset 18, and the smoke unit doesn't work when the loco is running. When running in the cradle upside down, the loco works perfectly, smoke unit works, reset works, everything. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated, I am at a loss on this one. Thanks in advance.
