No, the 5V couplers are compatible with TMCC engines, the 3V couplers are lower impedance and are not compatible with the 5V couplers.

You can verify which is which by looking at the coupler.  The 3V couplers have a patent number on the frame, the 5V couplers do not.  Also, if the measured resistance of the couplers is less than around 3-4 ohms, they're 3V couplers.  If you measure and they're from 5 to 7 ohms, they're 5V couplers.

PS2 3V/5V and PS3 couplers are all the same.

PS1 couplers are the higher resistance ones, and compatible with TMCC.
