symptom just started this morning. Intermittent chattering from the motor while easing along slowly.

checked wiring and mechanics. Nothing faulty with either.

it only seems to happen at or under 11SMPH and only in DCS. Doesn't happen in conventional with speeds control off or on.

Anyone dealt with this gremlin before?

I left this alone earlier for a tech.

The only issue I had close to this was a tach reading the tape problem. Yours is different in that it smooths out at higher speeds.

It would help if we could see a video.

Did you spin the flywheel running the side gear completely in a couple of revolutions for binding?

Does the headlight or anything else flicker like a power pick-up issue? excessive sparking? I see that you tested in conventional and it didn't do it. So I would look closer at the tach and tape. Maybe even the tether (& tach wires to board).

Found that my old tubular test track was making poor contact with rust inside. Threw it all out. Bought fresh new tubular with good tight connections. Going to test soon.

Also found that Fixed 1 on the TIU does not output as strong of a signal when used to power the whole TIU. The other channels put out better signal when powering the TIU off the Fixed 1. Better off to use the AUX Power port via wall plug or Z500 brick and dedicate your input track power strictly for the channel output to trains. Going to test this further with the next track as well.
