I guess this is for either Gunrunner John or Marty:

Have a RF&P E-8,  20-2318-1,  ps2 - 5v system where the boards failed, short on power up in DCS and the slave unit board is bad.

Went to the parts order section, and the p/n listed in my Tech Manual for the PS3/2 Diesel board is:  AE-10000035. This board number is not a valid number.

PS3/2 5v adapter is listed correct:  AE-1005v36.

The ps2 slave board is correct:  AC-0000011.

I  really do not want to upgrade to a ps3 system because the software is for the 5v board, no 3v software for that E-8 exists in RF&P.

Can you help?

Bruce, MTH is selling it all in one package.   This is the stacked board, bottom board and cradle   part number  AE-1000035-5V.   If you need the set to replace a 3V board it is AE-1000035-3V.   This is my all time favorite board.   I stock up good each time a fresh supply shows up at MTH.  I only have a few left and have an order in place.  You are a tech and have access to have your 5 volt sound file converted to a 3 volt file.  Not a big deal.  The only thing to remember is you need special chain files for the 3/2 boards.  If you do not have them handy and need them, let me know.

Go in the MTH tech site and you will see the service bulletin regarding the newer numbers.

Bruce, You had too many 0s in your part number.  The Bottom stacker board is available as a separate part also.

All PS-32 boards come loaded with the correct PS-32 Diesel Chain File and the SD-70 SF.   There is a whole series of PS-32 Chain files depending what you are using the board for.  Coors light, Small Smoke, Electric with Panto, Steam, Trolley, Turbine.  You need to load the correct chain file for your application.  But in this instance the board will have the Diesel chain large smoke in it and you are good.

I guess I need to spend more time on forum, you already forgot me  G

Need to be specific, there is no such thing as a 3V PS-3 Diesel.  Diesel PS-3 boards are stand alone PS-3.  Now, if you meant PS-32, got it.  Everything seems to come with Diesel testall.  Flash has to be loaded appropriately for the application.  Otherwise lights, other features and even chuff may not work.  G
