My Grandson enjoys running his LionChief+ Chessie "Steamer" (Mikado) and his LionChief "First Responder" (GP38-2)set I picked up at York. I have a smallish carpet rail line set up in our living room and entrance foyer for his trains. He also runs "Grandpa's trains" often as well. Today he wanted to pull two consists I set up for Memorial Day using his engines. I had my doubts those engines could pull them, but, he was certain they could. The GP38-2 was attached to a 15 car consist and the LionChief+ Chessie to a 21 car consist. Both ran around the layout pulling those cars with the same ease my VL Challenger and VL Hudson pulled those consists. Take a look:
