Hey guys, I have never had a TIU with no remote,  and to test this, obviously I need to pair a remote to it.  What is the process to add the remote to search for the TIU?  do you apply aux power to the TIU and a Brick to the track, put an engine on and then in remote, locate the tiu?

thanks !

Most residential users of DCS use one TIU, so the likely address is #1. On the off chance that the address isn't #1, simply take the remote and add the other TIUs to it (#2-#5), then turn on the TIU and press "Read" on your remote. Make sure the other TIU's you have are turned off. It will engage a read for the TIU when it finds it; the other addresses will be "Not Found".

first you have to purchase a WORKING DCS REMOTE and then set the tiu to channel 1 and the remote has to be set to 0 which is one for communication to the tiu after setting up with remote n tiu turned on and dcs set to aon which means all channels on. then press read button on lower left bottom of remote tiu will then answer tiu 1 found. at that point you now know tiu n remote is working the you can add engine to remote! then start your engine with dcs start command!
