Post York Depression Syndrome. I find mine is a little worse this time. I couldn't get there until Friday at 10:30. I missed Thursdays at Quaker State, and that took the edge off the meet right up front.  My badge was one of the ones that got lost, so I started out in Silver Hall. Money is very tight right now, so it was a low key trip to York. I usually make one major purchase at York and that wasn't going to happen. I was unaware that Side Track Hobbies was not going to be there and to find out that Lionel isn't going to return in the Spring really took the edge off.  A bad day at York still beats a good day anywhere else. I had a really good time but it ended too soon, thus I have PYDS.

The highlight of my trip was the group of us that went to Cheddar's Friday night. That reminded me once again that York is about great friends. Had I only drove up to meet these guys at Cheddar's it would have been worth the trip.

I am severely afflicted with PYDS. It was non stop fun from the moment I arrived Tuesday afternoon until I went to bed Saturday night, including the dinner pictured above, train watching in Harrisburg, Thursday at Fri..... OOOPS I mean Quaker Steak and breakfast at The Clock Thursday morning.  Seeing all the familiar friends and making new ones.

And then there were the glorious trains and accessories, the ones I bought and the ones I left behind. All the great vendors, big and small who work so hard to set up and show us the treasures that tempt us.

There’s no other social event like it. A multi day party. It amazes me how this morning I was at BWI airport and a little over five hours later I’m on the other side of the country. But one cool thing about that is in a few days all the goodies I bought at the York Meet will be shipped to my front door and I get to enjoy the fruits of York all over again.

So I have PYDS, and the only prescription is the next York Meet!

Well guys, I had PYDS both ways, pre and post. Missed my 1st one in 26 years of attending twice a year due to ilness. I just hope any illness does not occur ever again during York week. Sitting in the doctor office on York Thursday really stunk. (I have a better word than that but the 7 words you would never say on tv (George Carlin) will get me a 6 month OGR sentence). LOL!

See everyone in April.

Actually not at all!

Didn't go and purchased items from a local dealer with the savings so is that "Post York Delight Syndrome" then?

Not so much this time.  I was in court the Friday that I left for York getting guardianship of my grandson.   I had tickets for York, but had no assurance of getting to go until I got it settled in court.  So getting/keeping him safe and secure occupied my mind a lot the week I was there.

But I did buy stuff, mainly because it was so cheap.

I must have had post York syndrome, cause when i got home i couldnt find one of the boxcars i had bought.  I found it days later cause it was in an OB instead of a plastic grocery bag.

That could have been post York or a senior moment
