I know that there are many here who are from Canada or enjoy modeling Canadian Railroads. Pat's trains is offering a QNS&L ore car. The QNS&L frequently pulls ore cars and now RMT, through Pat's trains , is offering some nice looking ore cars that would be a great match for Lionel's Quebec North Shore & Labrador LEGACY C44-9W from a couple of year's ago.

Thanks so much for the heads up. Just ordered them. I would have missed these!

In the late 1970's, took family up to Quebec to photograph iron ore railroads. Got the grand tour from a QNS&L official at Sept Illes complex, road the tri-weekly passenger trip to Lab City, helicopter ride along the route with track foreman, Wabush Lake RR passenger train and photographed the remote-control electric railway near Lab City. Even photographed the elusive Quebec Iron & Titanium RR at Harve St. Piere...about 100+ miles north of Sept Illes on a dirt road. Their daily employee passenger train was a former DL&W Phoebe Snow coach with an MP15 diesel!
Had a rental car there but no mileage charge...only 10 miles of roads! Flew back with a bush pilot...now that was an airplane ride.
Got to find all those slides someday.

Great story! We should add that locomotive to the Lionel catalog wish list.

If you want that one made good luck with Lionel. 😁
It's been RMT and MTH that have made my short line wishes happen.

I think that Lionel cataloged a QNSL engine not too long ago. Also, they made Reserve Mining locos & cars. So once in a while they do it.
Disappointment plus. Tried to order a couple of the Quebec North Shore &Labrador ore cars but Pat’s trains won’t ship to Canada. Now that’s sad! Would have paid the extra post costs. To Pat, I say thanks neighbour.

Where in Canada are you?
Hello Charlie aka Mich: I live in Penetanguishene next to Georgian Bay in Ontario. Not much train action here anymore. cn & cp have torn up the tracks and bi-passed us. Lost are short line like a lot of small towns everywhere. Thanks for your interest. Wayne
If you want the cars order them and ship to me. We could meet in the Port Huron area. I'd be glad to be the go between. Heck I'd be willing to drive into Canada to meet you too...

That’s ironic. As someone who’s mother’s family is French Canadian I would be happy to help a brother out.
Let me know how many you want and have them shipped to me. When they arrive I will send them to you and you Pat me. How does that sound!

Wayne,
I sent you an email regarding a hobby shop in Ontario who is RMT's Canadian supplier. But I see some generous offers of help from others, so maybe not needed.
Bob
More than just QNS&L roadname freight cars have already been announced by RMT and more Canadian roadnames will be added during 2022.
Thanks.

Waynew; I have ordered from Pat's before they have shipped to Canada no problem. Perhaps give them a call if you can not work on the border swap offer. With the Covid testing rules to cross the border in person gets to be expensive to pop across the border to pick up and order.
