I just took delivery of an used engine that had been upgraded by a technician. My normal process is to change the address and do a factory reset. Since this is a upgrade kit, when I do a reset will I lose the sound file that was loaded into it? OK I know its a dumb question. Next issue it looks like I need to replace the tach tap. So can I order replacement without having to get the whole kit?  Seams to me Gunruner had posted an excel spreadsheet that had the tach tape but could not find it when I did a search.

Here's a couple of tach tape images that are shots of older and current PS/2 kit tach strips.  I just print these on the gummed label sheets that are used for shipping labels with USPS and cut them to fit.  I've used these a number of times.  When you print, print them "actual size" from Adobe Reader.

The one thing a factory reset will clear is a custom engine name, you need the dealer loader to write a permanent engine name that survives a factory reset.

How many conversions has Jeff done for you?

Personally, none for me. I won the engine at a auction( dirt cheap I my add) Conversion work is pretty good. Only issues are that PRR U25Bs did not have ditch lights in the sixties. Front classification lights are in the wrong location. There are a few other things that need to be corrected but that's OK as it will be reconfigured and repainted to CB&Q 101.

You could have spoken up. No issues. I just wanted to make sure I got input from them. Because of this post I discovered issue with the JDS upgrade that's major if you do lash ups. Its in a new post. I did my upgrade first (the experiment )and will now work on the JDS engine.
