Hi - I wired a few pieces of track and a transformer like fig 1 and got the rail sounds for my #8118 MoPac B (1991) unit to work. So I have a Sante Fe #364 (older engine - Gilbert maybe?) and it doesn't make a sound - maybe this uses different tech or something?  It says on the bottom that it has a "horn".  There is no "shut off" on the #364, so I'm worried about wrecking it.  NOW THE BIG PROBLEM. So I have 4 track clips, look at figure 2, it seems like the push buttons must be in series with ALL the clips ... but this could take quite a few amps going through theses devices .... how do folks wire these up?  Do I put the control buttons in series within only one of the track clips and the control voltage makes it out onto the rails through this one leg?  Thanksrailsound

You need a Gilbert era Air Chime Whistle Control for the 364 horn. It's a completely different system that uses a vibrator to make the noise in the 364's speaker. They are pretty common and readily available.

And before you get one and wire it in, you may want to listen to one...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUWCebaeSCc
