Just wondering if anyone has seen a Legacy Railsounds lite board burn up like this.

It appears it was the DC-DC switching regulator, M33063A located next to the battery connector. Battery connector is unused and the speaker is not shorted. Its mounted on a plastic bulkhead using doublesided tape. You can see it melted through the tape and started melting the plastic underneath.

Somewhat of a mystery why this happened.
