YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!
Is that the same route NP 765 took many moons ago?
I don't remember 765 running on the Reading and Northern within the last few years but I could be wrong.
Great news to see the 2102 back in steam!

I believe in 2015 NKP 765 led an excursion from Allentown, PA and Pittston, PA and stopped in Jim Thorpe. 2102’s excursions will be from Reading to Jim Thorpe and return.
Just read on Trains 2102 will do breakin runs pulling freight in mid March. Looking forward to all the youtube videos on those trips.

This is exciting! I will definitely try and get some footage.
I got the dome car for 7/2! So excited to see it!

I would think that if you read the original post carefully, and clicked on the link provided, it would lead you to how to purchase tickets (don't know about how to "get tockets").

All smarminess aside, tickets go on sale February 15. Your post made it seem like you already secured tickets. I was curious, if you had gotten tickets, whether you would share alternative methods.
I do not mind waiting. No big deal. I almost prefer watching from the outside, rather than riding.
Either way @Hot Water, I hope you have fun and enjoy such a momentous occasion–tockets in hand.

I got my ticket the other day. Because they cancelled the f unit trip the other year and I had a credit
Great news! The other T1,2101 pulling the freedom train on the ICRR is one of my earliest memories and first steam locomotive experience as my dad paced in along RT 50 in Monee/Peotone ILL.
His words were "thats all going away you know, never gonna see that again" How wrong he was, thank goodness.
Up next, 1361? I know "1218 will never run again", but it would seem at this point, never say never.

Individuals who had purchased tickets for last years canceled F Unit Excursions were contacted directly by the railroad and given the opportunity to be first to obtain tickets for the 2102 excursions. General ticket sales begin the 15th of February.
I am going to try to get tickets for one of the excursions. I have always wanted to ride behind the T1 since I saw her run in the '80s.

Yes they are wonderful. I just happened to pick up a call from a number I didn't know & it was them
I also upgraded my ticket for the F unit excursion to a dome ticket. Hoping that I actually get to go on this trip.
Just my opinion but, why would people want to ride in a dome car on a steam excursion, when there are possibly open-window seats available up-front? I was on the very first Reading "Iron Horse Ramble" behind #2124 (1959?). and spent the entire trip in the baggage car directly coupled to the locomotive's tender. Memories that I will NEVER forget!
