Just got the word from the Reading and Northern RR, that they have cancelled the F unit railfan trips on 8/1 and 9/5. They stated that they are almost sold out and could not do the social distancing. That coupled, no pun intended, with the rising cases, they cancelled. I was so looking forward to the trip as the Reading and Northern is so railfan friendly. I had the open air car, 12 hours of train fun and its shot to ****..

Open air cars and limited sales seems like the only way to do that these days. Twelve hours with a bunch of other people in a normal coach even with all the windows open doesn’t seem like a good idea.
Strasburg RR is open, but their trips are only about 30 minutes. I wonder how they are doing social distancing.
Cancellations of events and trips should be of no real surprise. We're not out of the woods yet...
