Hello …I ask a question about Williams trains both a loco and passenger cars. I am looking to purchase an SD 90 Amtrack loco, but want to get the best match I can get for small budget, are the 60 in. cars a good fit , the ones that fit my budget are called phase 3. Can anybody give me some advice…….size match, how far off are colors, i see stripes are different. I am a not to fussy

So let me reword, can anyone advise me what paint phase is the Williams Amtrack SD 90 locomotive….
I'm not familiar with the Williams model, but Wikipedia has all you need to know in the article "Amtrak Paint Schemes".
It seems like loco is phase 3 , but it looks different than coaches, yes Wikipedia was helpful and I found an old for sale where johnathan was selling he called a phase 3….it just looks a bit different. Thankyou. HiramO
The Williams locomotive is in the “Pepsi Can” scheme that was used on some engines in the mid 90’s. The Phase 3 paint scheme was predominate at that time, so the Williams engine and Phase 3 cars will go together quite well.

A suggestion Ed. Put a bit more info in your "headline," (aside from "recommendation") & you will likely receive better advice.
Thanks RadioRon and Ross…..this will be my first passenger train and I would just want to get it as right as possible….so Thankyou to the OGR circle of folks
Western Depot an OGR sponsor just got an order…next time I post will be with pictures…Very satisfying
Edward, somewhere, I can’t lay my hands on it right now, I have a picture I took on the Desert Wind south of Las Vegas with a Amtrak Pepsi Can in the 90’s. If/when I find I will post.
