I'm wanting to 2-rail a 3 rail example of the above; I know how the 2-rail models are wired to the trucks; what will I have to do with this 3-rail model to get the same results? Thank you.
Question: since the wheels are insulated (just like a 2 rail model) I guess I would run one side to one motor contact; one to the other side, and the third rail pick up wire gets discarded...(?) I guess if there's a reverse circuit in there, that would also "go away"...(?)
I wrote an article on this subject awhile back that would apply. You can find it in Vol 6 No 1 Sept/Oct 2018 O Scale Resource magazine available free online.
You could just run the 3rd rail pickup wire to the wheel contacts on the side that is not connected. Be sure to check that both sides are not wired to together.

Thanks Jim
Since both "sides" are connected, I guess I can simply remove the center pick up and move one of the remaining wires to that motor connection. Will let you know if I blow anything up! 😳🙂
...and done. Pretty straight forward conversion. Just need to figure out a "neat" way to connect the (8) wires for the headlights. If anyone has use for a QSI board, maybe we can swap something... 🙂
