A few days ago I bought a postwar SF alco 218 AA. It's hasn't arrived yet, but they gave me a $10. refund on the shipping, as the shipping was less. That was a surprise. Nice of them.

Eddie,
I have bought quite a few items recently from Trainz and have been very pleased with how they run their business and how they treat their customers. I consider them my local train store...even though I live in Southern California! Glad to hear about your positive experience.

I’ve been very happy with my dealings with Trainz! Shipment is very fast and communication is excellent. And to date, I’ve found the product conditions they show in the listing to be spot on!
I guess I have been fortunate to live in the Atlanta area as my orders from Trainz are delivered within 24 hours, generally at least a day ahead of the schedule shown when I complete the purchase.

They are excellent. A while back I bought a Lionel 2500 series passenger set from them. It was sealed, never opened before. After one week I opened it and found the coach car had been dented years earlier when it was packed. I wrote to them to let them know, never expected a response. They offer to make it right.. We worked it out. Just great
Recently made a purchase from Trainz on Ebay. They refunded $10 (1/2) of the shipping cost charged to me. Maybe because it also took nine days to get from Ga. to NY via FedEx!
Sounds like a good place to do business with. Thanks Eddie.
I've bought 80% of my collection from them. Great service and usually fair prices. Customer service has been good when I needed to use them.
Shipping is a bit pricey though.
Top notch! Only negatives. High shipping and the pictures have been getting very dark lately.
I've heard of them but always thought they had mainly HO stuff. Does anyone have their web address, you can send it to me back channel at sptrainnut@att.net, it would most appreciated. They sound like a really great place to do business with.

No Complaints about them from me. I recommend them.
I got a PRR B6 from them it arrived fine albeit about 5 days late. When I got it out, it wasn't running right, the tach tape was horrible! After I fixed it, it's fine but still annoying.
I have also found them amazing to work with! Their customer service is one of the best in the business. They do their best to make things right any time i have had an issue!!

They sell most of their stuff on that auction site now. Search for them and you will find their store.
Great pricing. Always well packaged. Prompt response from customer service in the one time I contacted them. Thumbs up!

Exactly.
DON, do you have an email in your profile? Thanks, Ed
I bought a mint in the box MPC GG1, 3 weeks ago, it was shipped right away, but I just received it. It got held up at a FedEx location, they were helpful trying to track it down for me.
I won a Williams BL2 and caboose on ebay and it is taking a better vacation than I had this year. Keeps bouncing between SmartPost locations.
I bought it on the 19th, so it has not been that long. Before this crazyness It was here in 2 days.
I’ve been buying from them since the mid 90s when the owner ran a brick and mortar store called Train Works. Always had great experiences with them.
As a local I do miss the days when I could wander into their showroom, but I cannot fault their current business model. Great value and service.
I've bought a few items from them. I remember years ago an MTH Premier SF ABA set which had a few missing detail parts on the top of one shell. I believe the parts were those very tiny rings that honestly could have gone unnoticed when packaging. When I contacted Trainz they never questioned my finding and quickly offered to make it right with a refund.
I've also bought a few items at shows and was very pleased with my purchases.
