I have occasionally tried to find people to have out of warranty items repaired or a place to purchase parts.  Has there been any thought to having a dedicated topic to repair contacts similar to Scenery Source list.  A person could list their contact info and description of type items they repair. Examples could be repair of postwar Lionel, or MTH PS2 and PS3, or parts for K-line. Could mention if focus is on electronics or mechanical such as gear assembly.

Reason I bring this up is I have some items I would like to get repaired and came to the forum to see if I could find sources. I recognize I could post a topic asking for anyone out there to repair, but thought a source list might be helpful to others.

Most of the certified repair folk list thier certifications, and well as advertised repair and parts above us.  Who has what varies over time as well. A wanted post can help; some vendors will look if bored enough.

It would be a huge undertaking imo.  I bet you build a parts sourcing only site on just postwar parts alone. "Postwar Trainparts of the Amazon"
