2nd mold attempt was 100% successful.

Great!

When re-reading the manual, in the very small print at the back, it stated that using a mold release will prolong the life of the mold and make de-molding easier. In normal print the manual states over and over that no mold release is necessary. This time I'm going to err to the side of caution and use a mold release.

I very rarely use a mold release of any kind - I've not found it to be necessary.  If I do use one, it's Testors Gloss grey spray paint - product comes out of the mold primed in grey paint ready to finish.

It's been quite awhile, but thought I would post where the project currently is. One car has been assemebled, painted, and some of the decals have been applied. The grab irons on the sides have been installed, but the ends haven't been decalled or detailed yet. I'm pretty happy with the results so far. The car is still in glossy paint and the decals haven't been sealed. Obviously I'll dulcoat the model when the decals and detailing are complete. Thanks again for all your help in this project.
