I got a deep scratch on my like new MTH J right through the reddish colored line on the tender. Was hoping to get a touch up paint to match. Does any manufacturer produce paints to match certain roads? thanks for your help!

Tru-Color Paint makes railroad specific paint colors, but bear in mind it may not match with whatever MTH uses. The paints used by most model train companies come from "local" (read Chinese) sources that might not match prototype paint chips.

Sounds like you need a repair, not just a paint match. As for paint, the likelihood of buying an "out of the bottle" match is very unlikely. And even if you find a match, you'll have a visible scratch, but one that is color-matched, unless you happen to be a skilled painter.
Scalecoat is another paint brand that sells railroad specific colors if you wish to pursue that solution.

Yes it's a pretty deep scratch. Unfortunately it accidentally met the corner of a GG1 pantograph. The touch up won't level out the scratch but it will make it less noticeable. I'm not sure how to fill in the scratch without really messing things up.
