It's a sad day in Central Pennsylvania.  Roadside America is now officially closed.

Roadside America Indoor Miniature Village Closing after 85 Years (berksweekly.com)

I visited there about 2 summers ago on a weekend motorcycle ride.  It was always a hoot to see a piece of my childhood where my grandparents were sure to take me every few summers.  Little did I know that would be the very last time!

Gosh dang it....another reason 2020 sucks.  I haven't been there for a few years but memories of visiting Roadside America in my youth gave me great impressions of what a train display could be, even if I was too young to remember specifics.   I have to admit it surprised me that they were still open,  I thought they closed a year ago when no buyers were announced. I am glad I took my children there a few years ago.  It's a shame to lose such a window into classic Americana.

Roadside America will be missed.
