Rotary couplers

I'm building a rotary dumper for a layout. Has anyone made their own rotary couplers for Lionel's four bay hoppers? For example # 64361 and similar cars? Seems like that would be simpler than making a system to un couple the cars and move the next one out of the way.

Thanks for any ideas.

Lionel sells replacement trucks with the rotary coupler (part # 610-7417-060), but the challenge is retrofitting the truck to the hopper. The trucks on newer hoppers are secured to the bolster with a screw; whereas older hopper models use trucks riveted in place.
