I am using version 10 of RTS. All of a sudden when unjoining a segment of track and then trying to select it, to move it, all objects on the plan are selected. If I use cut and then move a track from a segment that will work until I get to the last track in the segment. The software won't let me cut it since it is not connected to another track but when I select it again al object on the plan are select. Is this a bug in the software or am I not using the correct tool?

I have the same problem and I have discontinued using it. I went to the old fashioned way of doing things. Lay it out on the layout, if I like it assemble it. I understand it is free but I had my layout almost done and it started doing that so I lost all my work. I'm not sure it rendered accurate as I printed out part of the plan and built it. The results were not quite the same as the plan and I had to do some changes to make it fit where I wanted.

This software bug is extremly annoying! It's only version 10 apparently, as my version 8 and 7 work correctly--- except for the help file for V7 doesn't exist in Windows 7 64 bit.

I just checked the Atlas site and they do NOT offer support for the software. You have to goto the makers' website: www.winrail.com and tell them--- via Email I guess---

Edit: I just found my original copies of RTS 3 and RTS 4 while looking for something else! Being so old, the program is on a 3 1/2" floppy! I can't remember if V4 has the O track components--- I know V3 is HO & N only.

All,

There must be something else going on. I wanted to look at a previous track plan of the same Plan that I had not put some text descriptions on. I could now select a single track object to move it by disconnecting the joints on either side and selecting the track. I was finally able to clean an archived version of my plan up to the current version of the plan I could not work with version 10 of the software. I have continued on working adding additional detailing without incident. Go figure!
