Just to pick up on a side topic from https://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/...gauge-versus-s-gauge , there was a question on Fama Om (meter gauge) track for American Flyer compatibility. I've had a little luck with old East German Stadtilm S gauge track, which works but is a little wide. I refer to the combination as capitalist trains on communist track....

I think you will find that when the Germans went into S gauge they miss calculated the track gauge and they ended up with it being somewhere between 24-25mm, as my memory serves me.
