Did you order the LOTS SANTA FE COIL GONDOLA AND THEY CAME WITHOUT THE SILVER TRUCKS?

They are Silver in the advertisement. All the other cars came with the Silver trucks.

OMG!! I was thrilled to get the mailer on time this year. I usually hold off until Christmas morning to open it, so, I don't know. To me, the main point is having those gorgeous cars match.
No silver trucks? YES!! Lionel should replace them, or at the least, release new ones that match for those of us that care about such things.
Thanks for the heads-up GG1. Hopefully, other will respond the same way. I'll wait to see responses here. Perhaps a call to Paula to make our feelings known.

I opened one of mine and it had silver trucks.
CORRECTION: See my post from 12/11/17 below, my cars have black trucks, not silver.

Didn't the same thing happen with RMT I Love Toy Trains series? one car delivered with wrong color trucks and they offered another car with the correct trucks? Option was provided to keep first car or return for replacement.
Or did I dream that???

On regular production items I generally agree with this and often wait to see the finished product before I decide to purchase. But I don't give them a pass on what is basically a special order product for a club.

Shouldn't this be a subject for the LOTS folks to address, especially since they must have "contracted" for this special run of a freight car?
I concur with HOT WATER, contact the project member at LOTS and let them straighten it out. LOTS ought to have an idea how many orders have errors and that information should help not only them but other national clubs when they negotiate their next run. John in Lansing, ILL
Guys, I'm so sorry, I was wrong in my above post (which I'll edit/update to reflect accurate information) where I state that my car has silver trucks. It does not! Mine has black trucks also. I bought 2 cars and they both have black trucks.
When I got mine the other day, I slid the box out of the mailing carton just enough to see half the car. Looking through the plastic bag the trucks *looked* silver because of the glare/reflection on the bag (think postwar Santa Fe F3 which looked like a black bonnet). Last night when I took the car out of the bag, yup, black trucks on both of my cars.

Greetings from the LOTS Business Office -
We just received word from Lionel that they WILL be correcting the manufacturing error by sending silver trucks to all LOTS Members who ordered this car. The silver sprung trucks will not be shipped until after the first of the year. Trucks will be shipped to the original purchaser at the same address as the cars were shipped. If you ordered multiple cars, you will receive the same number of sets of trucks.
Lionel apologizes for the factory error and appreciates everyone's patience as they obtain the 1,200 trucks that are needed to correct the error. The trucks should be delivered to you by February 1.

My silver trucks came.
Just reuse the existing screws that are already connecting the existing black trucks to the gondola.
The trucks sent were meant to replace the black trucks. The black trucks are now scrap. Please use the screws that were holding the black trucks on.
The new black trucks could be used to replace old, damaged trucks.
