I have the Lionel El Capitan 4 car set, 6-29144, plus the 2 car add on pack, 6-25408 and the Soundstations Diner, 6-25411, for a total of 7 cars.  These are ribbed aluminum 18" cars.  The El Capitan was the sister train to the Super Chief also running between Chicago and Los Angeles.  I also have the two sets of the Santa Fe aluminum cars that are made by K-line, but they are 21" cars.  Contact me if you're interested, Chad

Not exactly a sister train. The El Cap was the lower class, budget fare train, with an all coach (chair car) consist. The Super Chief was Santa Fe's deluxe, first class train and among other differences it had sleepers, and no chair cars.

None of the Santa Fe streamlined cars had paint or striping, Super Chief or otherwise. This was only seen on certain model toy train cars, but it is not prototypical.

I have interest in the diner if you are willing to sell.

The Super Chief cars were all unpainted stainless steel as far as I know (I'm certainly no expert), but the Santa Fe did have some painted streamlined cars on other trains. I have a book titled "Santa Fe Diesels and Cars" (Wayner Publications, 1974) that shows Valley-series streamlined cars built in 1942 and originally painted two-tone grey, then later flat grey with silver roof, then finally  silver with shadow line striping in grey to blend with corrugated-side stainless steel cars. The photos show Red River Valley in the two-tone grey scheme, Mescalero Valley with grey sides and silver roof, and Cimarron Valley in silver, with grey stripes to give the impression of corrugations. This book also shows the streamlined pendulum-suspension coach built in 1941 that appears to have been painted several different shades of grey, with a silver roof.

Some example of Santa Fe painted cars:

And one in Shadow Line:

Santa Fe's pendulum coach was the only car painted in Blue Goose blue:

ATSF Pendulum

Unfortunately, no color photo's appear to exist, so we have to rely on a brass model:
