How do you can enlarge a SCARM layout to 4X the normal printout? I can print regular size and I know how to print lifesize, but I don't know how to print something sized in between.

@chessiechick I'm unaware of a way to automatically split a layout into 4 prints, but there is a way SCARM allows this with a little manipulation within the Print Preview screen.
This method requires 4 individual prints, each with a different partial view, selected by you to show only 1/4 of the layout plan at a time.
- Open the Print Preview window
- Adjust the viewport so that 1/4 of the layout you want to show in the first print is visible in the window. The Print Preview area can be manipulated in the same ways the main program window viewport is adjusted with the keyboard: arrows, plus and minus keys; or mouse scroll wheel.
- Once you are satisfied with the partial view, print it.
- Repeat the process three more times, with each subsequent print preview/print displaying a different part of the plan.

Use print to PDF in scarm and adobe reader to print the actual document as explained below. It’s way simpler than the instructions look.
in scarm:
file>print
select all do not check 1:1
choose printer as “Microsoft print to PDF”
click ok
give name/save
open doc with acrobat reader
select print
click “poster” — the magic that makes this work
set tile scale to desired size, look at preview window on right of screen. A setting of 180 should give you 4 pages, but you need some trial and error here. Also you can adjust with portrait/landscape.
when the preview is what you want press print…
Thanks. We actually found another path to make it work earlier today. We exported the file as a .bmp file, then opened it in Paint, went to print preview and selected the number of pages we wanted, being sure to save the aspect ratio. The only downside was that we couldn't set the margins to 0; the printer insisted on a 0.17 minimum margin. I trimmed the margin with scissors (I'm so "old school", LOL) and taped the pages together to have a 2 page by 3 page "blueprint" to use for a brainstorming session today with a friend.
