I recieved a Scintilla Rail and Power Works PrimerPack a few years back, just found it again. As you can see, I managed to disassemble it, but am curious as to A), its origins and B), how to get the variable to work properly instead of just in a few specific spots.
Clean tarnish from the rub area along the throttle coil, and maybe the arm. A pencil eraser would work. Work parallel along the coil wire TOPS. Don't use solvent except a damp wipe, no excess wetness. I.e., don't disturb the "clear" wire coating or they may touch, and if they touch, you get less reaction there.
Make sure there is decent pressure by the arm too. Fact: more pressure = better electrical contact.
