Yeah, who built it?
I don't know who built it but WNEP was where my company NEP Group began many years ago.
That was great! Thanks for sharing.

Saw that last night. Too good!
I grew up near Scranton and part of my layout is an homage to northeastern Pennsylvania. I always enjoy John Oliver but this was over the top wonderful!
Now that was cool
If you got the post office box section, someone made a steam loco and tender from parts from mail equipment

So if I build a cheesy little back yard G-scale and start doing weather forecasts in front of it John will build me one too?
pretty nice gesture on the part of the show.
"Ground plane"........OGGPF?
All I know is if they pick it up, they could be running indoors AND out.
I think Jon is really just looking for ideas on how to get one built for himself
Very impressive. Obviously too nice to be placed outdoors year round so I wonder if the tv station will come forward to have it moved, and if they do, moved where? If not outside that station perhaps in their lobby if they have room for it there. If not, then how about placing it in the town's Visitor Center or Bureau if Scranton has one or else in Scranton's City Hall?
Jon that is great and the layout a great multi scale display that Gryboski's Train store should acquire! Thanks for sharing! The
That is awesome!!! I sure hope that layout finds a great new home.
WNEP, the Scranton station with the now famous backyard train, actually sent a reporter and camera crew down to NYC today to check out the layout. Apparently it has already been partially dismantled since the show is on break for a few weeks, but they are seriously looking to move it to Scranton. There are two problems, however... the layout is 18' wide and 16' tall, so moving it, even in pieces, will be an issue, and they aren't sure that it will even fit in "the backyard". If they can get it to Scranton, it might be a good fit for the Steamtown National Historical Site.
That is bleeping awesome!

This guy (whoever he is) uses the "F" word twice in this bit. Really? Totally unnecessary.
That is an INSTANT turn-off for me.
Yah the F bomb words are unnecessary. The layout is awesome put it indoors and keep the LGB outdoors! Is this for real ? Amusing
Get over it! That was effing great!
