I'm not a Flyer guy, but I guess I like a challenge .

It might help if you mention anything interesting (accessories, operating cars) that was in the box.  That could give a thread to pull on to figure out if it's from something.

I searched on American Flyer Train Parts and found a few sites that list a lot of stuff, one being a store on eBay.  another being a site with more pages than I was willing to cycle through in a random visual search.

There are various other wire things shown, but nothing exactly like yours (I saw the hook for the log loader, a bent wire for a piggyback unloader, etc. but those both have bends your items lack, so it's not likely either of those items unless someone did an outstanding job straightening the wire at some point )

A couple non-operating cars, a mail car, a transformer, a bunch of track and these wires was all there was in the box Dave.

The 90 degree bends are too perfect and matching to have been done my hand or random. No scratches or marks in the patina to evidence home bent or tampered with.

I don't have a Flyer accessory book to compare with pics. I would think that they are too big to be some sort of track mounted accessory activator.

I do have the log loader and piggyback loader, def no match, and these wires are of a larger diameter than any on those accessories
