I have been looking to acquire an MTH or Lionel shay locomotive.  I have watched many YouTube videos of MTH and Lionel shays and none appear to have actual shay sounds that would result from the steam cylinders.  Some have chuf-chuf sound like that of a conventional side rod locomotive that has nothing to do with the cycling of the cylinders on the side of the shay.   I have also watched YouTube shays at Cass and other excursion shay railroads and they don't sound anything like the Lionel or MTH shays.   That is a show stopper for me to buy any of these MTH or Lionel shays.  Does anyone have one of these MTH or Lionel shays that actually sounds like a  real shay?  That is, the movement of the cylinders on the side are synchronized with a real shay chuf sound?
