Today, I was very pleased to receive my repair item back from Lionel customer service. It was well packed, and it came with a specific description of what was done. Most important, it works perfectly---but also, it's only 2 weeks to the day since I shipped the item to Lionel! That's great service!

Good to hear about positive experiences, not just the ones that go badly.
Since 2014 (when I got into the hobby), I have sent 5 locos back to Lionel for repair under warranty and they all were shipped back within 5 days of them being received and fixed and in perfect condition, even the re-packing - excellent service. The last one was my Legacy E6 Atlantic a few months ago - same great service!
