You get double credit for that double-ender, franktratin.  That photo was taken at San Bernardino, in the X-Yard, across the main line from the depot, where locals used to arrive and depart.  The unit was used for a while in helper service on Cajon Pass, and Santa Fe even added a mini-dynamic brake which gave just enough resistance to control the speed of the engine coming back down the hill as a light engine.  I may have worked with those two fellows when they were old and I was young, but it's impossible to make out facial features to recognize who they are.
