SHS Engine and Railsounds Box Car Problem | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Probably someone who understands how the SHS locomotives respond to the LocoMatic controller and how the "Flyonel" Railsounds boxcar work can explain this. When I couple a railsound boxcar immediately behind an SHS Consolidation, the locomotive will not respond to the commands of the LocoMatic Control box but the Railsounds boxcar responds to all commands. However, if I move the Railsounds boxcar three cars behind the locomotive, the Locomotive responds to all the commands from the LocoMatic Control Box and the Railsounds boxcar responds to all commands .

Does anyone know what is going on and why?

I thought you might have gotten some replies by now.

Very strange situation don't know why the spacing should make any difference.

Maybe others will chime in now.

I'd be guessing that the RS boxcar is interfering with the track signal from the LocoMatic controller.
