I stumbled across a little Inglenook switching puzzle game app for free on Google Playstore.  Very intuative, click at cars to couple or uncouple from train, click points to change their position, move back or forward. One speed, 'slam-bam' all you want or drop near the points.

Seems like a good one for waiting out the Doctor's with etc..  Not a gaming phenomenon or anything, just some switching puzzles when your bored.

I've averaged about 2.5 min. from about a minute to 6.5min until I found the initial strategic moves I'm using.  I know that really shaved off the high end times.

Simplistic, vector-ish overhead graphics, and the only sounds are coupling/ points change clicks , and whistle's toot-toot when done. (shut sounds off if you want)

So simple, I wouldn't be surprised if it could run on Windows or Mac. (I've ran other other Android apps on windows with varied results (usually fail if complex). The tech lines are blurring more now too though.... ??? )

Shuffles itself each round. No timer/records or move counter yet though.

Spoiler; You CAN foul a turnout enough to lock points out moving even though it will allow you to pass thru via "sprung anti-derail points"...i.e., trapping the loco between stuck points. Just resart the app  if stuck.

It worked with whatever permission it had asked for "denied". No ads either.

It's simply titled "Shunting" with a turnout shaped set of arrows as a logo. 5-8 car puzzle capability.

Have fun.
