six wheel trucks for kline heavyweight cars

May not have been the movers.. K-Line has had occasional bad batches of Zamac (the metal used for die castings) that manifests itself in something called "zinc pest". Search the term on this forum for more discussions on the subject.

I have also looked for 6 wheel trucks for some of my K Line hvywts.  Thanks for the information on the RMT cars.  I tried Brasseur in the past, no luck in acquiring at the time, couple years ago.

Good luck finding K-Line 3 rail trucks. You might be able to use Lionel, MTH or Williams trucks though. You would want to compare bolster height before jumping in. Thats where the difference usually is.

That said, did the sideframes crumble or just the steel plate under the truck come loose? If the latter you should be able to repair the truck with epoxy assuming you still have all the components.

Have a few spare trucks, will look for them this weekend.

Brasseur no longer has the "no calls" policy. That was a temporary situation when Dean left to work for Lionel. However, I don't know if they have any more trucks.

You might try checking eBay for K-Line passenger cars in poor condition or unpopular colors to cannibalize for the trucks. You can resell the bodies without the trucks for a few bucks. 

I think they were damaged as they were completely crushed even axels were bent.
