Sleep mode on new Lionel SD70ACe

Is this sleep mode a feature on all the new Legacy diesels or just this run of SD70ACe?

This is to mimic the real-life auto idle shutdown sequence. We had this feature in some of the early Vision diesels like the evolution hybrid and the genset. After sitting for awhile, the prime mover will shut down. Part of the emissions standards. We wanted this reflected in our modern engines.

No way to disable it.

I am having the opposite issue with my BNSF ES 44AC  sku# 2033520 I purchased in the last year.

The engine intermittently starts up on its own without a command. It goes through an extended start up sequence with bells and engine sounds, then starts with smoke unit on. It is a very aggravating glitch to have during an operating session.

The issue seems to occur often after commanding it and shutting it down with the MTH DCS handheld remote. The problem temporarily disappears well using the CAB 1 remote. I have attempted a factory reset, with no positive results. I have never had this issue with any other Legacy Engine. I understand these new models use a revised RCMC

Are you sure no one is hijacking it with a BLE controller? you could always turn the BLE switch to off to make sure.

Does it not happen at all with a CAB1?

Thanks for your quick response Dave.

Always run it with the blue tooth switch off. I also lash it up with my BNSF 6411 ES44 which came from the previous catalog (that is blue toothed equipped as well) That locomotive does not suffer from this false start issue

So far, this false start problem seems to occur exclusively with my MTH DCS handheld. I have not seen this problem while using my CAB-1 remote which I rarely use.
