Long time reader, first time question. Just bought Legacy Light Mikado Southern 4501, item #2131370. Problem: Smoke only works in LC app, but not in conventional or Legacy.
Things I have tried. 1) Smoke switch is ON. 2) Tried Off, L, M, H smoke setting on CAB. 3) Did Factory reset of locomotive. 4) Took train to Lionel store in Concord, NC (I live 10 minutes away) and tried on their Legacy control...same thing. 5) Turned switch to OFF just in case wires switched. 6) Disconnected Legacy base and ran in conventional...no smoke. 7) Yes, smoke fluid is in reservoir. Again, run in BT on App and smoke every time. Other interesting note...when I hit crew talk button I get tower dialogue, and tower button gets crew dialogue.
Calling Lionel today. In-house technical person in store was off for her baby shower this weekend so couldn't pick her brain either, but will as soon as she is back.
Just wanted to know if others have had this issue or if the powerful think-tank that is O gauge forum had any ideas of other things to try.
