It might be a little tricky soldering directly to the clips because of the plastic they're attached to... You don't want to melt anything.

 Can't you use the  solid wire that comes with the dinner and attach  a wire to it if it needs to be longer,  I don't think it draws much current so perhaps 18 gauge or smaller.   Funny you mentioned it, We just hooked up the car wash yesterday (same type oh hook up)  Mel's is next.

Thank you one and all you gave this 91 yr young good advise. I have been on OGM for many yeaars and always given  good  advise. I broke down my ogauge mth set some years ago about 1 ft wide 2 ft long. Heart attack hit me and put me out of commission. Then about 2 years ago wife gave me the garage about me set me is one table  ft wide 16 ft long 1 ft open the table 3 t wide and 17 ft lone. I have 6 separate fastrack running. How I have 3 set running high. Small space go up. I have DCS I am running half of z4000 running 4 trains. I conneted them pushing one inside of the other I don't know what you call them got them from some company from OGM.  That's all got too start soldering mel's dinner, gas station, car wash,meconals and fire house. Now all of you have a healthy years.  Sonny
