I recently purchased the MTH 20-21583-1 B&O F-3 diesel and am not happy with the fog horn sounding horn that came with the engine.I looked on line and in 2016 MTH came out with 20-20605-1 B&O F-7 engine that has passenger station sounds.Does anyone have this engine and does it have the better sounding 5 chime sounding horn? Can this better sounding file uploaded to my engine without causing any operational problems.Both engines are Proto3 board locomotives.Any advice would be much appreciated.

The file should load without issue. Lighting outputs might be different (MARS light or no MARS light, etc) but changing the file won't permanently damage anything.

You can grab the ADPCM program and just play the horn to see if you like it. Much easier and faster than waiting for a sound file to load and then finding out you don't like it and having to load another and another...
