I once located some thinner more scale looking stove pipes for my caboose, to replace the huge pipes on the "smoking" caboose, Can't find the source now to order some more. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks bert

Since this is a smoking caboose, you may consider using a Plastruct/Evergreen styrene small diameter tube. If the stack requires a rain/wind cover, this can be made from styrene sheet, use styrene strip to make the attachment straps for the cap to the stack. I recommend Plastruct Bondene solvent cement for styrene assemblies , applicator brush is in the cap. Paint assembly after the stack is glued to the caboose shell.
Lionel has some cabooses listed with "Scale" smoke pipes to replace the smoking pipes. They have the holes for the support and cap as well. That would be a direct solution if your caboose has those listed or another would fit as well.
My last Lionel smoking caboose came with a replacement "scale" stack in case the owner (like myself) opted to switch the smoke function off.
How about thinwall brass tubing? Larger ID for the same OD as plastic and won't melt from the heat. Stocked at virtually every hobby shop and easily available online.

If you just want a scale sized smoke stack for a caboose - Precision Scale.
The thin wall brass tubing suggestion is the easy route to make it yourself.
Does Lionel have the scale smoke stacks as a replacement part you can order? I have a bunch of UP CA-4 cabooses I'm 2 railing and doing different paints schemes. The ones that came on the caboose are horrible.

If that is the scale version verses the big one that comes on the caboose yes. The top curved cover looks a little thick but that can be fixed.
Thanks!!!
There is no smoker on that caboose, so I imagine it’s the scale size.
