2. Atlas 8000 gallon tank cars are going into production now.  This includes our special run of GATX black.  One of the most common tank cars ever.  We are doing it in 4 road numbers.Screen Shot 2021-08-04 at 11.48.40 PM

Following up on Greg's point. Personally, if the CV is on the door I think I will pass but if it is blank how it is today that would be an instant preorder.

In addition to better matching the one currently on display at Strasburg, the 40000 Central Vermont series boxcars only wore the interwoven CV logo for a few years at most. The cars were delivered in the mid-1920s and the interwoven CV logo was adopted in 1963, at which point 40025 was nearing the end of its revenue service. As far as I can find there is no photographic proof that any of them ever had that logo. When Strasburg did their restoration of 40025, it returned it to its pre-1963 paint scheme and more traditional paint scheme.

Here is a nice article from the Central Vermont modeler.

Possible plan is to do 1 car number with the CV on the door, and the 40025 without the CV on the door.

I've actually seen more prototype pics of cars with the CV on the door.  But if lots of ppl want it without, I'll do the 40025 without.

Awesome thank you! I would gladly help promote it on my various social media channels to help get as many orders as possible.

The Central Vermont 42000 and 43000 series of boxcars had the CV logo on the doors and there are countless photos of them online. They actually match the MTH tooling better but not as accurate to the 40000 series that 40025 is a part of.

Beth - can you confirm what the plan is moving forward?

Looks like the majority of us are looking for 40025 WITHOUT the logo on the door.

Beth answered this question in another post:

"The MTH Premier Central Vermont Single sheathed box cars will be done 1 road number (40025) without the "CV" on the door, the other road number will have the "CV" on the door.  If u are pre-ordering, just put in remarks which scheme u want, if u have a preference."
