Just wondering if someone can explain to me why once you enter the Proto passenger or freight Proto effects that you cannot control the engine speed or am I doing something wrong?  I think it would be great if you can, it would make for more realism in my opinion. Because once you start the sequence no matter what speed you're going that's the speed the engine is "locked" into it will be nice if you could control the speed while in the proto passenger or freight mode.

No it's not really a problem I think it will be cool just to slow the engine down really really slowed to a stop without pressing the direction button and then when the PSA effects are over slowly start the train up again. Like I  said it's not really a problem I just thought it be really neat to have full control over the locomotive while in the PSA effects or if there was some way to over ride it.

Hitting the PAS again will immediately take you out of the program so you really don't have to go through the whole cycle with the dir button .

Yes this is true but maybe I'm asking for too much lol. Thanks for your thoughts guys

It would be nice but unfortunately we can't do it  yet.  How about scrolling down to about  2 or 3 MPH and then start the PSAs .  This way after the announcements the engine leaves the station and we regain control after the bell stops ringing.   I'm sure you're already doing this. .

That's pretty much how I do it. I don't know why but it just kind of annoyed me over the years lol but it is what it is. For some reason I thought I just throw the question out today.

It's kind of like using a TMCC locomotive on the Legacy cab2 remote, when you use the brake wheel to stop the locomotive and release the brake wheel the TMCC locomotive starts moving again on its own but a Legacy locomotive will stay stopped until you command it again.
