I went to York meet this past Oct. and it was great! Hadn't been in 20 yrs. Just wondering how spring meet compares? 50% less

The April and October York Meets are similar. No real difference, they're both just as great.
They have always looked the same to me, except for the leaves on the trees.
Normal high/low temps for York Meet days: April: 70/43, Oct. 66/42.
Weather in Pennsylvania can be interesting. Early April can have cold spells, and plenty of Rain. Here in Western PA, true sunshine, may be 120 days a year. Cloudy, overcast, and moisture is the norm. Most of the time, Pennsylvania is green, and our streams, rivers flow full. Enjoy your trip to York PA.

They both have ONE COMMON GROUND, People that Love Trains....I am so excited that I get to attend in April and meet so many Forum Members!!! Also, see so many Trains from Pre-War through today's Hi Technology....I plan to attend the Lionel Legacy Users Group Meeting!!!! WOW!!! Can't Wait.....
No difference. Both spring & fall York's are the same. Both GREAT. This spring should be very interesting.
The only problem is, that there is no summer and winter Yorks. Although weather might louse up the winter one, and l bet Eastern division, dealers, and mfrs. are glad there are not
Once a year. April. Being from lower Michigan we always hope the eastern state of Pa. will be warmer than home. Usually is but not always. As for the show there is more than enough to see either date.
This April should be "interesting" as the dealer halls will admit the general public. I have no idea if that will increase traffic, decrease traffic, or not make a difference. 
I've only been to Spring meets, but I've heard that in October, better deals *may* be had. Something to do with the sellers trying to come up with extra bucks for Christmas, so they're more willing to deal. Like I said, no personal experience with the October meets.
last couple times i went, we picked april to go so we had more daylight for railfanning in altoona and as i got older ,prefer to drive in more daylight whenever possible. the york meet itself was the same to me.
I like York all the time. I don't think there is much of a difference although I personally prefer the October show. It seems October has a bit more "energy" to it with the Christmas/Train season soon approaching.

Slice it thin, and fry it crisp. Very good with Sriracha Sauce!!!! For everyone that hasn't tried this stuff, it's the texture and not the taste that is "questionable". Slice it thick, and you're on your own! Otherwise the flavor really isn't bad at all.
