This is the train that Lionel/ MTH will never make. Yes they are making NH items but this looks like the real thing not some made up paint scheme and it is available now!
Lionel #8 engine and four 300 series passenger cars painted in the McGinnis Orange and black Painted scheme. These are refurbished items that I acquired on Ebay and redid for use on my layout. Now I'd like to move to some of the larger standard gauge items so it's time to sell these to finance new items.
The #8 engine was stripped, repainted, had new brushes and wiring installed and all the hardware was replaced or refurbished. The passenger cars were all stripped and repainted and any missing hardware was replaced. All cars are lighted. The only thing wrong with any of the cars is one door is permanently shut as the mounting tab broke off.
I put a lot of time and effort into these trains and they look very good.
