After spreading the tinted fusionfiber, add the static grass with gun while the fiber is still wet.

The process was continued and went very fast.  No need to spread glue or worry about it setting up. You can do a very large area. Just keep the fusion fiber wet by misting prior to adding static grass.  You can add a light amount of ground covers prior to adding static grass.

Nice thing about doing this its easy to add heavy deadfall, stones etc. Simply use finger to wipe off the static grass when wet, add extra stuff. No mess

Final look..Its still wet. Remember fusionfiber has a long drying time.

its summer  time to go fishing.  As a note this is a drop on module that will be available for viewing at the LOTS convention in Rochester in July

Scenic Express has started carrying a new static grass gun called "flockit"

Got it at Timmonium show and isn't in catalog but is in stock.  I like it because it works off a 9 volt battery , so no cord to drag across layout.  Second it has a large screen.  I have made cutouts from card stock to do lines or other patterns if not doing a large area. it retails for 120.  The only negative on this item is getting it out of the box .  People make their own for much less, but by the time I make one, (which may or may not work) I can do a whole lot of scenery.

If my layout was staying up I would go back and use it on it in various spots. Really adds a great dimension and compliments existing covers. Next time I'll add other stuff to break up the grass like goldenrod, wildgrass deadfall etc before doing the static grass

It was still wet when I left it last week at friends place , going there this weekend to see how it dried.  He says its fine
