All,   Looking for ideas for a mixed layout of std and o. Small size, maybe 8x8 up to 10x10.    Traditional in style, because of size maybe 1 standard set, maybe a few o gauge o. The same table.   1 elevated?       Just curious if others have done this, and their input

I have a 5x 15 right now im working on.  elevated mth tressle onto a elevated section on half of the layout kind of carved out.  Both upper and lower will be City oriented with trolleys running around, speeders.  etc.   I did not use my software because I did not know what I wanted and I like to play around with actual track too.

Sean,

We have a 13 X 20 layout with an outer loop plus one spur of Std Gauge with O gauge on the inside - all on same level however.  Allows us to run Std Gauge without interfering with the O gauge which is much more extensive.  Smaller size layout should get same results.  If you have any kind of spurs or sidings on the Std Gauge loop I would very much recommend Ross Std Gauge switches - I have one and it is smooth as glass.
