Ok, this is the last of four custom Std Gauge trains that showed up at the TCA & TTOS meets this weekend. This one is now in my possession. No cast aluminum on this one. Dual McCoy under floor motors were a good choice for this. If you notice the stuff through the cab windows, that is a motor assy the drives the crankshaft and piston rods. That part is battery powered, however the crankshaft has a broken journal so it will remain inoperative for now until I can figure out how to get it apart and fix it. I'm wondering if the creator was thinking of a wood cab with the way it's painted. I don't like it. Have to think about what to do with it.

The log cars are made from an aluminum channel and McCoy trucks. There are 4 of them, but the one in the photo has red wheels on one truck that I will clean off. Also, the Marx couplers will be replaced with 100 series couplers more fitting for Std Gauge.

That's great. The operating crank was totally unexpected for what I saw in the B&W Wednesday thread. I saw the extra o-ring drive belts but figured the wheels were what was being belt driven. Imo it's cab "clashes" because the roof matches the boiler. Just a roof color change would help. Any color. Matching the tank cover to something might tie it together better..?

You need a tin cannons frame to make a loggers Big Wheel now too.

Thanks for showing this.
