Stewart Hobbies A-B-A

Very nice!  Way back when, I did a custom paint formula out of an old Model Railroader to come up the correct CBQ light gray for Sunset FTs and it is a very subtle gray.  That "grayback" color is very subtle and these units match that well. 

I have a set of Overland CBQ HO FTs that I need paint in this scheme one day.   I have always appreciated the quality of Stewart Hobbies equipment even after Bowser acquired the line.

I had never heard of Stewart Hobbies until a few months ago. I am very impressed with their weight and super smooth performance. I may add a few more.

This is my only Stewart model, but since it's made by Kato, it's as good as it gets.

Stewart/Kato F's have been my go to for decades. My KC&G uses them exclusively:

Be aware that not all Stewart products used Kato drives. Quite a few of their other models did NOT.

In fact, Stewart quit using Kato to power their F units, instead switching to Bueler as their new source for F unit mechanisms. (I will assume because the cost of doing business with Kato increased past Stewart's acceptable cost range.)

Buehler motors are also premium quality having been used in LGB products for decades.
